Suraj Venjaramoodu, born Suraj Vasudevan on June 30, 1976, is a famous Indian actor, comedian, impressionist, and TV host. He primarily contributes to Malayalam media and film. He has appeared in almost 250 films. He appeared in several comedies throughout the 2000s and early 2010s. As a result, he was nominated for the Kerala State Film Award for Best Comedian three times and ultimately won it once.

Later in his acting career, he began to branch out and was rewarded with both lead and supporting roles for his efforts. With his performance as the main character in the film Perariyathavar, Suraj was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor in 2014. He took home the trophy for Best Actor at the 61st National Flick Awards for his performance in the Dr. Biju film Perariyathavar.
The film followed the lives of a father and son who both worked for the city administration and were forced to face challenges of their own. Even though Suraj excels in comedic roles, he did an excellent job in this film as a man who kept his cool, as judge and acclaimed filmmaker Saeed Mirza put it: “Suraj’s performance [in the movie] is delightfully respectable.” I couldn’t have slept if he hadn’t been included in the distribution.
