Jayan Maradu, the future Jayasurya, was born at Thrippunithura, Mani and Thankam, Kerala. The Sanskrit Government High School in Tripunithura and the St. George University Preparatory School in Chambakkara were among his educational stops. To further his education in business, he enrolled at Mar Ivanios College. After finishing school, he began performing with phoney bands like Kottayam Nazir’s Crown of Cochin and Cochin Discovery.
