He completed his education in the United States and then worked there before relocating to Dubai and starting an IT firm there.

Dulquer Salmaan Early Life

In Kochi on July 28th, 1986, Dulquer Salmaan entered the world. Salmaan is Mammootty and Sulfath’s second child. The name of his older sibling is Surumy.
He ultimately decided to make acting his career and enrolled in a three-month programme at Mumbai’s Barry John Acting Studio. In a 2012 interview, he said, “somewhere along the line, my life became dull and repetitive,” which is why he decided to pursue acting.

Dulquer Salmaan Career

Salmaan agreed to play criminal Harilal in Srinath Rajendran’s first film, Second Show (2012), back in 2011. For Salmaan, “when an actor debuts, he has to earn the right to be a hero and not gain it through a rapid manner,” which is why the film had such mixed reviews, prompted him to make a “unconventional entrance with a bunch of rookies.” While Paresh C. Palicha of Rediff was not impressed by Salmaan’s performance, the reviewer for Sify wrote, “… it is Salmaan’s strong screen presence and a matured acting technique that makes the movie an entertaining watch.” Salmaan went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, and the film was a commercial success.

Soon after, Salmaan was featured in another Anwar Rasheed production, Ustad Hotel (2012). It was a commercial and critical triumph, winning the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Offering Wholesome Entertainment. As Faizy, he was likewise well received. Anil R Nair claims that the young and flamboyant Dulquer has cast off his father’s shadow in the role of Faisi in The New Indian Express. Salmaan’s performance in this film earned him a nod for the Best Actor Filmfare Award.

Theevram, directed by Roopesh Peethambaran, was his third full-length film and a criminal thriller. First appearing in the 2013 Martin Prakkat comedic drama ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi, in which he sings “Johnny Mone Johnny,” he won a role in the film. While it received positive reviews from critics upon its debut in the fall of 2012, this picture failed to find an audience and ultimately underperformed at the box office. The film and the song both became very popular. His performance was praised by all, regardless of how the picture itself was received.

When discussing Dulquer Salmaan’s performance in Amal Neerad’s Kullante Bharya from the anthology film 5 Sundarikal, Sify said, “It is Dulquer Salmaan’s show all the way, and in all honesty the young actor has thrown his heart and soul into his portrayal” (2013). The film was lauded overall, but especially for Kullante Bharya. Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, a road movie starring Salmaan and Sameer Thahir, followed, and critic Aswin J. Kumar of The Times of India praised Salmaan’s performance as a disabled photographer, writing, “… it’s the tale of the unnamed woman, ‘Kullante Bharya,’ that sticks with the spectator” (2013). As a whole, the film and his acting were well received. Pattam Pole was a 2013 romantic drama starring Salmaan and Malavika Mohanan in their first on-screen roles. Alagappan helmed the movie. The film’s box office performance was disappointing.
