Asif Ali Upcoming Movies: Asif Ali, who has a record of working in a total of 13 movies in a calendar year has four releases this year namely ‘Innale Vare’, ‘Kuttavum Shikshayum’, ‘Mahaveeryar’ and ‘Kotthu’. Mahaveeryar alongside Nivin Pauly has received a positive response from the audience and praised by the critics as well, while Innale Vare movie got mixed response from the audience.
Asif made his acting debut in the 2009 Shyamaprasad-helmed film Ritu, alongside two other artists; their combined efforts earned high marks from reviewers. His second film, Sathyan Anthikad’s Kadha Thudarunnu (2010), starred him alongside Mamata Mohandas and Jayaram and was a box office success in Malayalam. It was also in 2010 when the Malayalam thriller Apoorvaragam was released. Asif earned the Best Villain award at the Asianet Film Awards, although the film underperformed at the box office. Bollywood comedy film All the Best: Fun Begins has a Malayalam language remake released in the same year called Best of Luck, but unlike the original, the reviews for the Malayalam version were universally negative. Commercial success met critical acclaim for him in 2011 with the release of Traffic, a Malayalam thriller in which he co-starred alongside three other protagonists. After the popularity of the films, local adaptations were made in 2013 with Chennaiyil Oru Naal and in May 2016 with Traffic in Hindi. Salt N’ Pepper, a romantic comedy about two different couples, was another box office hit for him the same year. His 2011 film Ithu Nammude Katha was met with favourable reviews but bombed at the box office.
In 2012, Asif was in a total of 13 movies. Even though his former film Asuravithu was met with critical and commercial failure, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Negative Role at the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards for his portrayal as Aloshy in Sibi Malayil’s Unnam. In the years that followed, however, Asif’s box office performance was less than stellar. Most of his movies were met with unfavourable reviews, and only Husbands of Goa, directed by Saju Surendran, was a commercial success.

Asif Ali has plenty of projects in hand that will released in 2022-2023. He will also be seen in an anthology series that will be premiered on Netflix by the end of this year 2022. He will be pairing up with the national award winning actress Aparna Balamurali for the first time in 2023 and the movie is titled as ‘Kishkindha Kandam’.
